“…the Godhead, Three in One…”

God is doing some amazing things these days, especially in Las Vegas, where my friend Josh Teis pastors Southern Hills Baptist Church!  In the 7 or 8 years since the Lord used him to start this church, they have witnessed God’s powerful hand in calling out a people for His name, as hundreds have turned to Christ for salvation, confessed Him through believer baptism, and begun the path of discipleship.  These are exciting times in “Sin City,” one of the fastest growing areas of the country, and the Lord is spreading the witness of Christ in even the most unlikely places.  Praise His name!

One of the great joys for Pastor Teis and SHBC is to help those who have little or no knowledge of true Christianity come to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”  Along with this idea, Bro. Josh recently launched a sermon series entitled, “The Deep End,” designed to introduce believers into the doctrines of the faith.

To help with this, Bro. Josh graciously requested that I write a guest blog post on the Christian doctrine of the Trinity.  I considered it a pleasure and a privilege, and you can read it by clicking on the link below.  Of course, with a doctrine like the Trinity, there is so much that can be said, so many Scriptures that could be referenced, so many arguments to be made and refuted.  But for a simple statement of what Christians believe about God and some of the Scripture that we look to for this belief, I think you’ll find this helpful.

I also encourage you to spend some time checking out other articles on Bro. Josh’s blog.  He has written some very helpful and encouraging ideas on a number of topics.
